# it appears to me that some sunnis and shiites believe that god has a "ruh", and it put a part of its ruh into the human bodies....
...can anybody confirm or deny this? |

Yes dear you are right, if i remember correctly one urdu text read 'khuda nai apni ruh insan mai dali' ie God inserted his ruh into humans'. Also at fm theres an article 'beginning' where ruh is mentioned and hv this similar confusion. |

Salam mate
I'm not sure what the sunni or the shia believe regarding this tough issue, however if they do, I believe they should be basing it on the words "Nafakha Fihi Min Rohihi", I say it is a strong evidence that Allah has a Ruh however it is not a string evidence that part of that Ruh was inserted in the human bodies this is because we donlt know what was Nufikha i,e, Blowed into humans, we know the the Nafikh was sourced by or from Rohihi but the verse didn't tell us what resided in our bodies as a final product, this is very tough subject and I say it should be avoided as part of avoiding most conjectures

# well...i don't think god has a ruh, bud; atleast not the way humans are understood to have a ruh!

# okay..i understand what u are saying...
...but i think ruh is something god created...and not something that resides in god, the way v understand it to reside in us!

# i agree...but nevertheless it fascinates me! :-S
...i would like to talk more about this...but i ain't findin' much time to come online...and like u said, it is a tough subject; but allasame...i don't think a ruh resides in god...
...and the "my" in "ruhee (my ruh)" only denotes ownership...as in ardhee or baytee!
...on a side note, i am beginning to feel that god taking ownership of the kaaba could mean that it was originally built by god itself! i 'll try to check out this angle for kaaba! (-:
